Slumdog Millionaire - Is it really worth the Hublaboo???
Finally I got to see the talk of the globe ,"Slumdog Millionaire". And after seeing it I came to a conclusion that its really not worth this hype.Films have been made on this sort of plot many of a times in India. But it got all the eyes swaying on it just because Mr.Boyle has toiled himself for the film. The thing that grabbed my attention the most is Mr. A.R Rahman's nomination for the song "Jai Ho",which stands no where in front of Rahman's other composition. People in west still thinks that India is a country of snake charmers, forts, elephants & Maharaja's. So every time someone projects India as poor & crippled state they go ga-ga for it.And its really high time now that they wake up before the water flows over their nose.

BHailog..this is a film and not a documentary...its fiction(madeup)
and why cant we accept that yes a part of us..in mumbai looks like what we see in the film...
talking purely film and portrayal of a little bit of each one of us thats shown in the film...i think its a job well done...IT DOES SHOW BITS OF each one of us.
not pointing a finger at anyone or ridiculing my own country...i do have to say as a film...it deserves what it got...and Rahman the great got the award as none of the other films in teh category had comparable music...if you check out the other nominations...tracks did match the exact mood of the film...and was enjoyble indeed...
